Simple Nail Designs At Home

Seriously. If you have spent the last 10 years, or 10 months simply paint your nails you're missing out, or worse, if you can only afford a professionally designed look for your nails twice a year you do not reward yourself. Discover how to make your own design that you want in the comfort of your own home.

Show simple nail designs is no longer confined to the first few days after dropping $ 50 for manicure (hope they do not chip before you can show both your friends and total strangers). You should be creating their own designs at home - not only are they cheaper, but you can get very creative and unique look that will last as long as the Salon design - without spending a weekly allowance.

Easy nail designs start with a drop in the following general categories:

Two Tone nail polish treatments - basically do nails half one color and half another color. Pretty easy to do and can create some very abstract patterns, but be careful in terms of having a steady hand to get the lines right.

Adding a shattered effect on nails with crackle nail polish. Easy, and creates a totally unique design, especially with the almost-infinite variety of color combinations between solid base coat and top crackle polish.

Action fingers of one color, and thumb different color [alternative is to have Pinky finger a different color instead, or your thumbnail]. This is tricky, as if the colors do not complement each other well it simply looks like you started nail polish job and got bored halfway through!

Drawing designs like flowers, lady bugs, stars, etc. This is really easy to do and involves using a toothpick as brush and nails the color,. The problem is if you're not careful flower design you just finished may look too similar to some others you see around town.

Magnetic nails - this is the latest, anything high tech trends, and is fairly easy and creates a very unique design with special magnetic nail polish and it looks like a postage stamp - but are magnets that sort of metal particles in the nail around the design.

Nail art pen - these are fun, and like to draw the nails with markers [unless these have nail polish in]. I personally think make abstract patters and swirls on my nails with this as it does not require the same level of accuracy as trying to draw a picture.

Nail stickers - Special "tiny" stickers provided with proper application of polish or nail, and do not run or otherwise get distorted when coated with clear nail polish. Kind of messy if they get scratched or torn and then have to take it off, but it can be a quick design that does not take much time.

Gel or gelish nails - these are not strictly nail design, but when it is used properly gel nails can last up to 3 weeks without chipping or cracking, dry super fast under ultraviolet light and make design with them will result in long lasting design. The speed is often faster, as well as UV light is used to polish the drying under 2 minutes.

I hope this gets you thinking about the numerous nail design that you can do at home
